Please post your specs. Do this by downloading PC Wizard, run it and go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Then copy the text out of that saved file into this thread.

Dude, don't pay for anything you don't understand. Post the specs of anything you are considering purchasing before you pay for it here.

Ok, thats cool man. Are you getting a desktop or a laptop?

If you are getting a desktop, with a reasonable motherboard i would suggets the Creative Titanium series http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=826&subcategory=827&product=17791, as it takes only a PCIe x 1 (one of the first to do so) which leaves a PCI slot free for other expansions. It also kicks serious ass in games.

Please avoid dell or hp computers. I know you are quite young, but you should consider building it yourself, as this is a great way to learn and also prevents the upgrade nightmare that comes with OEM computers. If you want to understand this better, i would suggest posting your parents budget for your PC, what you use the machine for (e.g. school work, gaming, porn ), and then we can help you chose components and guide you on how to put them together.

good luck mate.

well it depends on what speakers your going to get... if you get 5.1 or 7.1 then yes i would recommend getting a nice sound card, but it all depends if it can be put into the budget, when you get it.

If your going to go with just the 2.1 then, no i wouldn't worry about it.

You might even wait until you get your motherboard and if that has 5.1 sound card on it, see how that is and then maybe go for a good sound card...

It all depends on your motherboard, and what speakers your going to get.

Why dont you look at various 5.1,,..etc speaker packages from some stores.

Look up logitech z-5500 for example.
