Sound card?

Sound cards are generally becoming obsolete because so many of the newer mobos have their own onboard audio. With that said, having a dedicated PCI sound card does in fact take some stress off of the cpu. Just grab a Creatve Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS (about $70 from newegg.com, OEM version)...the sound reproduction is pretty amazing and at peak performance for the sound card market. It has Dolby Digital, EAX support (for games), THX certification (you need good speakers though), and DTS decoding...all this along with up to 7.1 channel support. With this, you will probably never need to upgrade your soundcard again. I'd say that its worth the price. Hope this helps
