Sound Problem

I recently upgraded to a sound card, and before I did, CSS and BF2 played fine.
Now, CSS wont play any music or sounds. When I am loading a map, I am playing music, and once it goes to Sending Client Info it pauses my music, and doesn't play any in game sounds. And yesterday, BF2 played in game music and stopped after a while, along with the music.

What do I do?

Thanks

Check Device Manager for any warnings issued with your Audio.
Check that you have the most up-to-date drivers.
Make sure On-Board audio is disabled in BIOS.
Check that your card is seated in it's PCI slot properly.
Check that your speaker cable(s) are plugged into the card properly.
Check the Audio settings in your games. Make sure they are using the proper device.

What can I eliminate from that list cause my sound card works.
I am playing music while browsing and stuff.

Thanks

You could probably skip these:

Check that your card is seated in it's PCI slot properly.
Check that your speaker cable(s) are plugged into the card properly.

But I would still check the rest out. It may not be any of these things, but you can eliminate them as potential causes, and you get closer to the answer.

What can the problem be though?
The card works perfectly while playing music, but doesnt play any music or ingame sound while playing CSS or BF2.
Ive reinstalled CSS. Still nothing.

Thanks

Weird.

I thought I added, 'how do I look for it in the game settings?'
It notices 5.1 and stuff, but in CSS and BF2, do you know where else?

Anyways, how do I?

Thanks

So I went into a custom game. Sound works perfectly.
Went to a different online server. Sound doesnt work.

How can I get my sound to work...?

Go back to on board?

I need it to work by Saturday, the 14th.

LAN Party.

Thanks
