Sp 2 install gone wrong

I was going to install SP 2 and when the install had come to 2/3 the pc got bugged and i had to restart and after that it is only restart right after the windows image.

i use windows XP.

i dont know if this is the right plase to post.

How old is this computer, some older boards with VIA and SIS chipsets had a problem with SP2. It would load a AGP chipset driver that was not compatable and would freeze or restart when you rebooted.

no i did try too start in safe mode but nothing happens only restarting at the windows loading screen.
 
Could be a driver or program conflict with SP2, if it will not boot in safe mode you could try a repair install. Boot to the XP cd and follow on through to where it get to your harddrive set up and pick (R) for repair. After that and it boots just make sure you have all your drivers updated to the lastest and check if any of your programs have a conflict with SP 2 and might need a update before you try in install it again. And download/save and install this one when you try again.
