space game

ive been looking for a space game lately.
kinda in the same style as Freelancer if you've heard of it.
i have looked a little bit but theres not much out there i dont think
so anybody know a game or two?

i just feel like flying a space ship around. :P
 
How about Dead Space? that's a goodie to play when you're by yourself at home at night with the lights and the volume turned up.

It's a recipe for bricks ;)
 
subspace continuum its a fun small space shooter its a multiplayer online

its fun ocne u know how to fly and aim ;)
 
im not looking for a shooter

i want a game where the main thing is flying a space ship, you can fight, be a trader, merc, all that fun stuff. travel and explore the universe.
 
What about Eve Online?
That does cost monthly though, but steam has a 21 day free trial. You fly a ship through space, you can have fights, mine on asteroids and all that.
It is pretty awesome.
 
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I & II. awesome games, still have decent graphics (Dx9.0c) and almost any computer can run them. you can get them for like 5 bucks each off of steam.

the best space exploration etc game I have ever played, isn't. It is Garry's Mod, but Space Build.

It takes alot of research, time and learning to get it because to do well you have to become very good with wire mod, PSC and space build mod, but it is so worth it.

You can do just about anything, you can trade resources, explore for more resources, fight others, blow up planets, just about anything

Hi there...i am not into games like freelancer that much....although I would agree that Dead Space is a good one, if u like horror ones too...Doom 3 is another....



If u have a PS2...then get Red Rock RTX....its a rather good game....
 
The Star Wars games i listed are not shooters. they are adventure/rpg games. you level up and stuff and there are laser guns, but it's mainly swords, lightsabers, spaceships, explosives and force powers :D

They kept me going when all i had was an 8600gt, they are not that demanding.
