Hi. I was wanting to take a laptop screen and use my VGA slot on my graphics card to hook up the little monitor.

My questionis:
+What adaptor/cable would i have to use? VGA > thin thread clip thing that gets plugged into laptop screens?

thanks.

A laptop screen? You mean the screen that's attached to the laptop itself? It depends. I thought if the laptop had a VGA and/or HDMI port, it was only output, so it wouldn't work, but I've found evidence that says otherwise. Here's an answer I found on another site with someone who had the same question:

"Laptop screens use different adapters than regular monitors do. You never know, maybe there is converters in the market now. Here is a link showcasing converters of different kinds and purposes….Keep in mind, they can be really expensive. After looking a little bit, I found this site that makes for an interesting reading:

Keep in mind, that if you go ahead with your project and buy the parts needed, you might end up paying same money or more than a new lcd."
