I can't see how the 8800GT could be passively cooled. I've never seen a high end video card cooled solely by passive cooling.

agreed, they make so much heat, even the passively cooled 8500GT still heats up like crazy. it will be interesting to see...

They already have tempurature benchmarks for a passive 8800GT by sparkle. Its not that bad. It looks kinda funny though. The marks are somewhere on anandtech I believe.
