EDIT: Some people say this card heats up a bit and require an extra fan...do you think it is necessary?

The only decent 7600 is the 7600 GT..

7600gs is an alright card for dx9.. Have you even used one ETSA? The GS uses the same core architecture as the GT, and i don't have any problems with heat (except when playing Stalker. It can heat up to 75c, but i have all the settings high, 1280 x 1024.)

For an extra $30 more you can get the GT instead. IT's a better gaming card, but if you don't game then theres no reason to get it, over the GS or 7300gt.
