If a Photographer needed a complete brand new system, he will be doing image manipulation, using adobe phtotshop stuff like that. He has a budget of 1000 pounds.

Would it be a Fast CPU and lots of RAM

or

a good Graphics card, and less of the above?

Thanks.

Why does the photographer refer to himself in the third person? :P

Anyway...if you're going to be doing lot's of rendering, etc, and using photoshop alot, you definitely want a good CPU and a decent amount of RAM...but you also don't want to skimp on the GPU...

It's just about finding the balance really, but at the moment if you or rarther he (:D) is going to be doing photo editing I, as many others would, recommend getting a Core 2 Duo.;)

Not even with that Graphics Card and a 20inc Monitor, thats what im worried about at the moment.

Because some of the guys i work with say that a Good Graphics Card is required?

For Video Editing yeah maybe but when working with images, dont think so. :)

Is that correct?
