I need help with finding info. My boss insists that each core is a fraction of the total. For instance, with a 3GHz quad-core, each core runs at 750MHz to add up to the advertized 3GHz.
Since I know I'm always right
and I tend to disagree with him at all cost, can someone shed some light for me?
I'm asuming that it's essentially (4) - 3GHz CPUs (I know it's physically 1 CPU) that share cache, connections and stuff. Am I right? Can you please point me to an article that states that, because it has to be a credible source to prove it to him. THANKS!
