Speedfan control or Dual Xeon workstation

I have a workstation (stats below) the cpu fans run full bore all the time. Even when I'm just browsing the internet or writing code in a text editor. CPU temps stay about 40C all the time. I want to let them heat up to like 55C to reduce fan noise.

I've setup speedfan before, but with this W83795G I'm unable to assign manual or automatic control in the advanced tab of speedfan config. Instead I get options from 1-20. The CPU fans are fan 1 and fan 2 on this chip. See the attached screenshot. How can I take control of these fans?

Supermicro X8DAL
Dual Xeon E5504 -> using stock heatsinks and fans no OC
24GB (6x4g) DDR3 1600
Nvidia Quadro FX 1800

4 pin headers should control the fans with PWM so just be sure that you have 4 pin fans plugged in. You can also check the BIOS to see if any of the speed controls are disabled or set to max speed.

That is what I thought too. But, I don't have any control of the CPU fans. It appears that the PWMs are on a different chip then the cpu fan. My screenshots didn't make it the first time but see them now, it appears I'm blowing through my 50kb quota. One more to follow.
