Spliting an MP3 File

I have an album in MP3 format, but each track is not split, and plays one after another.

Before burning to disk, I was wondering if anybody knows how to split the track. Included in the folder is the mp3 file itself, and an Image file.

Any Ideas?

Audacity should have the ability to split it up quite nicely Just search for it, it's a free program.

Cool, Ive got that,

although, I have heard that there is a way that it can be split via Nero, using the image file.

Any Ideas on that?

The image file? Are you making ISO's then burning it? I'm confused... I never use Nero; I stopped using it some time ago.

windows movie maker will do it simply, but it'll be converted to wma format when you export

I think you can specify a pause length between each track in Nero...

he said that the whole album is a single mp3, so he needs to edit it. They're not separate tracks yet.

what's inside the image file? Mount it using Daemon tools and find out. The answers to your problems may lie in there.

Otherwise Audicity is a great little program.
