Splitting external hard drive

Hello All,

I have an external hard drive that I use for two devices (PS3 & WII) I have to switch back and forth and plug in which ever one I am using. I do have a USB splitter but I believe one is just power not DATA as it is not working.

Is there a way for me to connect both of these without having to plug in and unplug all the time? They don't have to access the hard drive simultaneously as we can only use one system at a time.

Thank you for your time!

Look into NAS (network attached storage) drives, some are available for under £100. You can plug it into your modem, then both devices will be able to access the drive through the modem. If you already have them connected to the internet then it may be as simple as plug and play. I use one alongside my work colleague to access and work on the same files at two different workstations.

Just get a router with USB ports for printer and hard drive sharing.
