How do I get rid of this...( CLEAR SEARCH DATA MINER ) its in c:\windows\system32IELie.dll I found it running a spyware scan but it cant be removed????????
 
press Ctrl+Alt+Del and End this program, and then try to remove this file. (u can't remove a file or program when it's running).
 
the MS AntiSpyware tool is good as well (the link was already provided by livelife). It is basically GIANT's tool.

Delete it:rolleyes: (safe mode)
 
I got rid of the spyware :D I used spybot ,adaware and microsoft anti spyware and none of them found this ...it was xoftspy that found it and could not delete it after about 5 hours of trying I rebooted the computer and xoftspy deleted it upon reboot...sweet!

Sometimes they are hidden proceses and u cant do that

And what happens if it doesnt delete? Or is restored? ;)

i had spyware too, I think it comes from AOL instant messanger. Anyway, get macafee virus scan and run it every day or two. That should keep your computer free of viruses
