Hey everyone, new here,
I've been using an SSD normally for over a year, then added an HDD not long ago. I remember at some point it started waking up whenever I either open an app installed on SSD or if I access the SSD, or do anything on it.
I got annoyed, so I set up the HDD to go to sleep after 1 minute of non-use, and only wake up when needed.
Now, whenever I try accessing the SSD while the HDD is asleep, I have to wait for like 3.5 seconds for the HDD to wake up.
Same when I create a new folder or a file on the SSD, if the HDD was asleep, I have to wait for it to wake up (by the sound it makes), before seeing the new folder or file created...
Questions:
- First, why is my SSD dependent of the HDD? For example for creating a file or folder??
- Second, how to solve this and make them totally separated?
