Hey guys, Currency again.
Today I have questions, and would also like to get opinions on my newest upgrade.
When I built my current system in 04-05/2013 I purchased a refurbished 120GB OCZ Vertex Plus from TigerDirect, I got it for a better price than I could find ten minutes ago online. I also purchased two, 2TB, WD Greens. The overall idea being SSD for OS and some games, one 2TB for primary storage, and the other for backups.
Well little did I know, OCZ Vertex drives seem to be very picky and sometimes fail to be recognized by the Bios, I've had this happen to me many times and looked online to see others with the same problem. This happened to me the other morning so I called up a local shop, ordered a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB to replace the OCZ drive with.
What should I do with the 120GB OCZ SSD?
I don't have any other systems that get used enough to benefit from an SSD and I don't want to sell a possibly failing drive to someone else. I can run five sata drives off of the motherboard, 1 DVD Burner, 2 SSD's, and two 2TB drives maybe?
Still if the drive continues doing this, I can't count on it being there for me or anyone else when I/they need access to the information.
While I was in the system and had removed all the HDD's, I noticed one of the WD drives had broken the plastic surrounding the Sata data connector, this for me is a problem being a new drive and having only been removed from the system this one time. The WD drives were purchased via Newegg 04/29/2013 and in three days WD support has failed to reply to my support ticket.
I have since, rigged the HDD and moved all data to the backup drive. Took around 1 1/2 hours to move 750GB's.
The Lian Li, Lancool, PC-K62 case has a support bracket right where the third HDD's cables run in at, I use locking data cables and think this may have been what caused the plastic to break.
Should I move away from locking data cables?
I use these cables,

I have around 10 other none locking cables laying in storage which of course are brand new and never used, just sitting around.
What do you guys/gals think about the Samsung EVO line of SSD's?
Thinking of removing that support brace, as doing so may save future drives while I plan to continue using this case for a few more months before moving to something bigger.
Not exactly sure which 840 250GB EVO was ordered, since they ordered it and I didn't, but I'll post that information later today when I pickup the drive. I keep backups of all my device drivers on my backup drive

Let me know what you think, and next time I post it won't be a book. Just had a lot of information I wanted to share so everyone would understand my reasons for this upgrade and provide some information regarding my other hard drives used in this system.
Thanks,
