unless you actually need that much storage, you can just use some of the memory in your computer as a small hard drive for temp storage

for example, i have a 100MB hard drive allocated out of my 2GB system memory, which is used for temp file fragments for internet download manager, and all of my usenet programs. It speeds things up a LOT, and greatly reduces fragmentation on the actual hard drives.
