Ughh. I was curious about something. In a few days, i will have the final pieces of my first build...il assemble it...and..yes. I plan to overclock it...and iv been reading up on it a lot..and, i think i will be able to do it pretty well. Just one thing though...they always say..go up in increments..then make sure its stable. How do i know whether its stable...is that...just make sure it doesnt blow up??? Make sure the screen doesn't go black?? How do i find out if its stable?

if you go up in increments then you'll know when it get's unstable...
make sure you can easily get to your cmos reset and write down your settings as you go

I'd suggest using a benchmarking software (Mark) series works well...go until it doesn't boot, then step back one and run the benchmark and see if it glitches up....if it does then drop it once again and benchmark

I'd suggest not OCing it for at least a few weeks under heavy load to break in all the parts first (like buying a new car and trying to race it without wearing it in first)
