Hey guys,

i have 3 400g freecom 7200rpm sata drives and i have them stacked! is this a good idea or not? could i overheat all drives when they are running?

any suggestions as to how i should organise them? i dont have much room either.

Thanks :)

How many drive bays do you have in your case? You can often leave a bay open inbetween a pair of drives to allow for the air flow there. Have a front intake fan? On the build there that would be a big help on keeping drive temps down.

sorry guys forgot to mention that they are external hdd's. intelcrazy i dont have that much room tbh. in fact i dont really have any room :)

What kind of externals?

Nevermind, I looked it up on Google and your HDs do have the little cushion things on the bottom, right? If so, I wouldn't worry about it.

That place usually mails out a number of "garbage" flyers that get tossed fast here! But I just happened to spot the cheapo wonder they were selling and saw your thread. The make is low quality and used to have 3 1/2" or cd drives mainly. For quality you will want to keep an eye on things at newegg, Tiger, mwave, or another vendor.
