Stalker lagging?

I just upgraded my video card to the card in my signature and I was expecting to be able to play Stalker on at least High and Dynamic Lighting with this card. Instead when I go to play the game I set the settings on High and object dynamic lights and I still only get like 25-27 fps. Do you think it could be my CPU hold me back?

Hmm, I have a 7900GT and a Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU and I get playable frame rates with AA and AS turned on at a resolution of 1280x10204. Stalker have stunning graphics but I think the game is abit slow.

Your cpu and your ram is what is holding you back. 2 Gigs of ram would help out a lot and a good dual core will help boost the FPS up.

1GB of RAM should be enough, I'd say his CPU is where the bottleneck is.

Yes upgrade your CPU first then upgrade your ram to 2 Gigs cause youll need it with that 8800.
