Starcraft Original error help

Finding it hard to install starcraft on my new laptop. When I enter the CD key and confirm the install directory, it comes up with this error. I've never had problems installing this game before.

Can you try installing the game at admin or under compatibility with an earlier version of Windows?

Dont put it in your x86 folder, put it in the root folder ie, just in C:

That doesn't work either it keeps saying it cannot create the directory.
