start up been block help!!!

I dont know where to post this but im giving it a shot to this thread. Anyway oneday i was online then something poop up its says download some thing about my start up but i get scared and i thot its a spyware so i block it. After blocking it the computer frooze up then i try to restart it and it wont do the start up no more and i been trying anything to fix it but my knowledge about computer is not that good. Plz anybosy hope anyone can help me about my problems. I have alot of data save on my computer and i need it.. help help help help
 
can you list your specs if you know them, like which version of windows and any others specs your might know. also can you say how far start-up goes? after you switch on your machine how far do it run before it does nothing.

is it windows xp? or something else?

have you tried any of the F8(can be different) options upon booting?(if you can get that far on boot up) if u can, try the options to start in

safe mode
&
restore to last known good configuration

oh by any chance, did u remember specifically what the message/program was when you denied the access?
 
Hi again... We tries to boot it and try to go to safe mode. We even tried to put a restore cd on it but didnt do anything. Also pc turn into a horizontal purple line in the monitor screen. We have no idea how to fix it. So whatwe did instead of fixing it and thinking spending more money for it we bought a new computer. But i still have impotant stuff on my old computer save and im looking forward for it to fix it. thanks for the reply
 
no wacko didnt smell bad.. There just a horizontal purple line on the screeen that its. But anyway maybe i could bring it to anyplace here who can fix comp. In what way im still lucky even my old pc is kinda messed up coz i have XPS 600 all package included.. freaking fast....
