Starting a computer business; how does the flyer look?

charge 60.00/per hour and you are still cheaper than almost all contractors. Hell, geek squad charges like $150/hour

I was gonna find out... But, seriously $150/hr? WOW! What about Firedog?

That really tells me that it won't take much to beat Jerksquad or FireDumb...

I think it would be really cool to do something like this..(although I'm too young) I wouldn't have a clue where to get started...

I was thinking, if you work on it in their home, MAKE SURE THEY ARE HOME!!! Try make sure someone over the age of 18 is at the house and have them sign a release...don't do it if they say "I won't be home...but I'll leave the door unlocked for for you" because if anything turns up missing...guess who gets blamed?

Also if this ever gets big (not huge, but I mean ...decent sized, you know) be sure to build a badass computer for yourself, and charge at least some of it to the business. <--(kidding)...Isn't that illegal?

I did it in photoshop, I got the gradient wrong behind the iThink, but I'm working on fixing it so it'll look more smooth rather then a hard line between the white and black, but yeah photoshop!

the 2nd flyer looks much nicer.

maybe i missed the post, or forgot already (its late, i'm tired :P), but...did you say you were incorporating the business? if so, why?

an LLC is also pretty good when starting a business. easy like a sole proprietorship, however your personal belongings are protected from lawsuits. it's cheaper and far less complex then being incorporated. then, if you have a need to in the future, you could always switch it to being incorporated.

of course, not all states have the same laws, etc, so actual fees and rules on changing the business type might differ.

could just use the computer for business stuff AND gaming :P
then it would still be somewhat legit.

Yeah I said I was thinking about getting incorporated. I haven't looked into a LLC, but I definitely will thanks!

And oh yes, sooner or later I'll build a monster machine :D

You can also apply for subchapter S. I don't know all the ins and outs, but all of this is explained in starting a small business for dummies book. I suggest you pick up a book or something else like that.

Thanks for the advice, I talked to an accountant like you said to do , and I found a few ones interested in doing a bartering type thing, I fix the computers, they do my taxes.

I think I'll file for an LLC, and then apply for subchapter S, it looks like it could help alot!

I think the name is dumb, i hate apple though.

Yeah and thats helpful how?
