Hey,

I'm new here. I really wanted to know...

My computer is totally bad, i was wondering, how can i start from scratch, like EVERYTHING gets erased, like ALL my programs and my virus's.

I was maybe thinking to uninstall windows then re-installing it?

I also do not have a re-format disk.

Basically i want it so my computer is like never been used.

Like the others said, you need your windows cd. You can just put it in the computer, and boot to it. From there, you can choose to format the hard drive, and install windows.

You could just get a new hard drive, and install windows.

Reformat is the word your looking for. Pop the CD into your cd drive, and when your computer boots it says : loading from CD, press key to continue (or seomthing like that). press a key, and let windows load. click enter and f8.. or whatever it tells you to do. then delete the partition when another screen comes up, and press "install xp on this partition"... it should say something liike "unpartitoned <raw>" or something like that. when it starts installing and formatting, you can leave it until it asks for the time date, name company, and coa... pretty much the rest is automated

What he is Trien to say is,

You need to Get to your BIO's

Thats the Black looking screen when you turn your computer on

Now, if you watch closely, you can see it will say press Del to enter Setup, It may also say something like "Press (anykey) to get to Setup)

Its usually DEL or F1 or F12

When you get into your Bio's Setup,

Set your computer up so its First Boot Device is your CD/Dvd Drive, Depending on what you have.

Now, Insert your Windows Install Cd

Watch closely, as just as its about to normally start loading Windows, It will say something like "Press any key to boot from CD"

Now, Press a Key xD

ok, It will load all the files nessercary.

Follow the prompts.

Or you could go to this site, and Read Up more on what to press/What everything means when reformatting your computer.

Good Luck Bro,

remember that if you format and reinstall windows you will also need the motherboard cd for all the mobo drivers if you havent got the mobo cd you should go to there website and download the correct drivers for your mobo before you reinstall windows, if you dont you might not be able to get on the internet after installing windows.
