Hmm, that seems like a fun place. As of a name, no clue, lemme think.

They still have internet cafes?? Are we talking the US? Here (northeast) they shut them all down years ago when 'net access and PC's got real cheap.

Hmmm. Have you thought this through carefully? There really is no market for internet cafes. The internet is so cheap that everyone has it already. There isn't much market for LAN party outlets either. At least not enough to sustain a business. Your target market probably won't have the money to fork out to pay your bills. The computer market is totally saturated. Everybody and their uncle is professing to be a computer tech because they worked on a 286 as a kid. Now they're all trying to make a buck off it, saturating the market with crappy service and giving the trade a bad name. Everywhere you look there is someone else fixing and selling computers and they go out of business the next day.

I would definitely do some market analysis before you jump into this. Examine the demographics carefully.

As for a name, call it The Hole or something. :P

I would hope if he's starting his own business he'd already have looked carefully at whether it had a fair chance of success, had found a gap in the market, etc. Perhaps where he lives on the west coast of Canada there's people crying out for one.

As for a name, the LAN Lounge.

there is one internet cafe in abbotsford where i live, and it does very well but there way overpriced, usually very busy.i'v asked and done surveyes and i've got some good responses. i plan on making something flashy with lights cool seating up stairs(lanparty/gamers lounge) lounge area for people with laptops downstairs. make it looks like a techy place with lots of geeky stuff. go downstairs pick up your pizza go up stairs and pwn some noobs type of thing. so for the bad english in a hurry
