Starting Troubles

Apathetic

Whenever I click the on button on my computer, it will usually give like a heartbeat (fans move little and lights come on and off fastly) or it just doesnt do anything. I have gotten new speakers and mouse since my original build, am in need or a more powerful PSU or should I check some wiring?

If you gave usn your system specs and what kind of PSU you have or the amperage on the +12v line of the PSU (on a sticker) we could diagnose it for you. It sounds like a PSU problem from waht you're saying.

450W PSU
AMD +3500
1GB corsair XMS
160GB maxtor
PNY Tech 6600GT
PLextor 712SA
DFI Lanparty mobo
Razer Diamondback
2 Logitech speakers (satellites)

I assume you live in the US (115V is also used in Japan), if so, don't change it to 230V. Did the problem suddenly arise? Make sure all cables and wires are properly seated and in their right places. If possible you should test with another PSU.

I will probably try that soon. Oh and should I be worried if all the cables are touching other cables and parts in the computer? My PSU brand is Just PC, INC. if it helps to know. Oh and nope I dont overclock. Sorry was gone on vacation :P
