Startup Programs Question

I have a plethora of programs at startup and would like to stop some of them from turning on when my computer comes on. However, a large number of these programs I am unfamiliar with and/or have no idea whether they should be auto turned-on. Here's the list. Can anyone help me pick out programs that need to begin at startup? (I know it's alot I'm sorry, but I appreciate any help!)

1) Windows Defender (I already have AVG Free, is it unnecessary to run this addition window program?)
2) NVIDIA Compatible Windows Vista Display driver, Version 1
3) NVIDIA Media Center Library
4) HD Audio Control Panel
5) Realtek Voice Manager
6) RAID Event Monitor
7) Protector Suite QL
8) Google update
9) NVIDIA nTune
10) BisonHK
11) cyberlink brs
12) PowerDVD
13) Language Application
14) GrooveMonitor Utility
15) Adobe Acrobat
16) Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U5
17) HpqSRmon Security
18) hpwuSchd Application

I numbered them so they will be easier to reference in replies. Thanks in advance!!
 
Some of these you can tell on your own, if YOU want them to start up.
But some unnecessary things would be:
3,8,11,12,14,15,16. Number 10, do you know what that is?
 
Lol, sorry I left out a lot of items I already knew weren't unnecessary. I should have also left out google update and bison (which is the webcam software). my apologies.

Quick question. If I pop in a DVD if with PowerDVD off, will the DVD still be read and PowerDVD will auto turn on? Kinda the same question with Adobe. Like if I open a doc that needs Adobe will I need to first turn Adobe on or will it auto open in order to view the doc?
 
About the DVD, I'm not sure. It all depends, I don't use a DVD software, but you can always try it to find out. And if it doesn't, you can always put it back as a startup program.
For the Adobe, just open up a PDF file like normal and Adobe will start up by itself when you do.
 
Awesome, thanks much. Startup is probably 30 seconds faster. No longer have to wait for the hourglass while icons load up on the lower right of Taskbar.
