Startup Question

Alright I'm using XP but I installed Vista at one time to see what it was like, when I installed I dual-booted and it made a selection screen on startup to select either Vista or XP since then I formatted to Vista drive(I didn't use it)but the selection screen is still there it defaults to XP but it's a wasted 30 seconds of boot-time that I don't want, is there a way to uninstall it?

On a completely different note I also have a problem with starting the Task Scheduler service in XP, I disabled sometime ago to save resources but I wanted to start it up because it is required to run Bootvis but when I try to start it I get the error: Error 1717: The interface is unknown,
I started all the dependencies that it requires anyone know what this means?
Edit:Fixed this problem the Event Log services must be started also, although it is not listed as a dependent service

so what you8r saying is you want to uninstall the XP partition and save the vista one?

No, I deleted the Vista partition long ago I want to uninstall the selection screen that comes up where you select weather to boot vista or XP because it is useless since I don't have Vista

I found the anwser

"Boot your computer in to Windows XP.
Ensure you have the Vista DVD image emulated or in the DVD drive.
Go to "Start" and "Run". Type in "e:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force" (without quotes, and replacing e: with the drive letter of your Vista DVD).
Restart the computer, and you will notice the boot selection menu is gone.
Format the partition/drive where you had Vista installed.
Remove two files (Boot.BAK & Bootsect.BAK) on your XP drive's root folder C:, these were backup files of your previous bootloader, now no longer useful.
Optional: Restart to ensure it still works. "

Really easy :P
