Steam or Shop?

Wow 3000%!!??
I believe I though. I know 10 kids at school who bought (about 8 weren't even originally interested in it)

Is there an article about this somewhere?

Edit, found one on shacknews. It's really interesting. Talks about the relation between sales and discount.

Haha yeah, I originally saw an article about it on StumbleUPon and then a couple days later I saw it on the Computer TV forums on YouTube. Pretty interesting story.

Is 3000% the actual figure or a "near enough" figure?

even so i hope that this will knock down prices of games from the £40 at first to even a fiver or less...still good ^^

Its what co founder Gabe Newell announced.

Other interesting stats they came up with (based on xmas sale I believe)

■10% sale = 35% increase in sales (real dollars, not units shipped)
■25% sale = 245% increase in sales
■50% sale = 320% increase in sales
■75% sale = 1470% increase in sales

That's amazing. I hope that steam will see this as an incentive to keep the weekend sales going or maybe even make em better, and also start some companies dropping their prices too
