Steam Woes

This problem has just started happening today. Whenever I try to log into a HL2DM server I always get booted because there was an "Error verrifying STEAM UserID Ticket". Why would this start happening. I've been able to log in no problem since I created my account, and now I cant? Anyone have any thoughts.
 
Try a different server, try restarting steam, try restarting your computer. In CSS I often play on the Noob Galore servers, and after one Steam upgrade during the game I was booted, and couldn't enter because of the error message you described, but other servers still worked fine. I don't recall doing anything differently after that, but the next time I visited the NG server, everything was fine, though it may have been after a restart of Steam.

At any rate, I and many other people often have problems after a Steam update, and generally it's fully repaired within I'd say 12-24 hours.
 
I wonder why this happens. Also, is there a reason why I can't purchase games via STEAM? For instance I tried to purchase Garry's MOD the other day, but nothing happened. Is it possible to make another account on STEAM and have my games registered to that one?
 
it happend to me today just log out and log back in
that sorted it for me :)
Edit :dont close just log out and back in
 
I knew it was too good to be true with the simple fixes, I still end up with the same message, even on CS:S. I'll give it a day or so and see what happens.
 
Its a common error for what I believe the steam server messes up. Steam usually has it fixed within the hour, but you can try and speed it up yourself by deleting your clientregistry.blob file in your steam folder while logged out of steam.
