steams slow download

hey has anyone else noticed when you download somthing off steam it takes foreeeevveerrrr to dl before you can play!!! anyone kno how to make it faster

Steam Servers are probably Busy. To get Faster Download speeds wait untill the servers aren't busy or upgrade you internet Connection.

Doesnt Really Matter, If the Servers are busy they are busy and define "High speed" Dialup? Leave it downloading overnight

i dont use dial up. i think its dsl. (i dont kno alot about internet)

It's usually fine for me, and I download the games right when they release.

i experience this too. usually i download (not from steam, just in general) at around 120-160kbps on steam i never got past 60kbps and average around 12-25kbps only. i'm on a 1.5mbps connection.

I d/l left 4 dead the other day and I was getting on average 400 kbps and maxing out around 600-800 kbps. I have 8 Meg cable but on average I get 6.5-8 Meg.

I have DSL I get about 368Kbps on steam when downloading

Steam servers aren't slow for me. I have a 1.5 Mbit connection and it max's it out.
