Steering Wheel won't work

Hello,

I have an indianapolis 500 PC steering wheel that worked on Windows 98 but will not work with my XP PC. I got a USB to game controller adaptor that I am using. When I plug in the steering wheel, I go to the device manager it shows a red X on the device. When I enable it, I get a blue screen error. Does anybody know if this a driver issue? or will this steering wheel not work with win XP?

yeah the blue screen is not good. see if you can role back the driver form the device maniger.

This is the first time I have tried to use the steering wheel on this PC. It worked on my old machine, which was using Win 98.

Have you looked on the Steering Wheel manual if it's compatible with WinXP?

I don't have the manual anymore, but I am thinking that is the problem. I got the steering wheel before winXp came out. I just thought that it would work.

Old steering wheels are a hussle...I had to give mine away after going through 4 XP driver packages for it.

could you check on their website for a driver update maybe? or atleast to see if it is compatible?
