Stepmania question.

I downloaded some songs for the game off this site my good friend gave me, extracted the ZIP files into the same folder as all my other Stepmania things... but they arn't on the game still...

Help please?
 
Ummm im not to sure what Stepmania is but are you sure u can just dump songs into the game and expect the game to play them ???

Also are the songs the same format as the original songs already on there ??
 
Well, my friend recommended me that site for it has songs to download for Stepmania - he has all of his working fine, I just don't know what's wrong with mine.

the files I downloaded from the Stepmania site itself have are SMZIP packages... but these ones I'm getting right now are just WinRAR ZIP.

Man, I should call Simon after school for help.
 
can you open the SMZIP files with winRAR? ^^ you could copy 1 of the smzip's wich you know works, open it with winRAR.. add the songs from the downloaded RAR archives, and delete the files that were in the SMZIP archive.

that way it shouldnt change the archive extension, but it would replace the songs in it. then save the modified archive under a differnt name, and put it back into the folder =]

Not sure if it will work.. but i gues its worth a shot. ( this is the way I soved many of my previous file extension problems =D )
 
Hmm, okay, just did, but I have to fiddle around with the junk later today... stupid school.

Just watch, I'll ruin things by not knowing what I'm doing. =D

Yup :P, It never hurts to goto the one with the experience with your particular situation.
