Hey guys, Got my computer up and running finally! Everything runs GREAT except when I play games. The games that I am playing are WoW, SC2, Dirt2 and a couple others. Durring the loading screens I get very quick black lines shoot across my screen. I don't know how to explain it any simpler. They are just quick black lines that shoot across my screen. Also sometimes there will be squares in the lower section of the screen. It doesn't happen durring game play on any games but WoW. I think this is because it is an online game and it's constantly loading new graphics durring play.

My set up is-

AMD Phenom II 6Core 3.2GHz
4 GIG's DDR3
HIS Radeon 5870 Turbo w/ 1GIG DDR5 Added

I think it is a pretty solid build, just not sure why I am having this problem. I have installed all the discs ex. Mobo / Video Card etc. I have also updated my Video Card. So I have no idea what to do from here :(

If you have any idea on how to fix this PLEASE let me know!

Thanks

how did you plug your connection from your video card into the monitor (VGA, DVI, HDMI) could just be using old technology (the VGA) or the cord could be bad.

My monitor has a similar issue, only it's red/green horizontal lines. I know it's the monitor because it's happened across multiple motherboards and graphics cards.

I wouldn't be too worried, as long as it works fine everywhere else.

I am using the DVI right now. I have the DVI to VGA adaptor but I figured DVI is newer than VGA, I also have the option to use a HDMI cord which i plan on using once i buy my new monitor. I hope it fixes the problem tho.
