Stock Memory sticks vs Gaming Memory

I have a Dell and was wondering if there would be a notice in performance if i get Gaming Memory. I see this will fit mine OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel I have 4GB now but what came with it. Another ? is can i have 2GB gaming memory and 2GB of the stock Memory in at the same time? Thanks

My stock memeory now i think is Memory Type DRAM //Technology DDR II 667 SDRAM// Form Factor DIMM 240-pin

well you probably cant lower your timings in your BIOS... to tell you the truth you wont notice a difference... save you money up and buy a better video card...

A Dell is probably not going to have settings for Voltage and timing. When you boot, it will set it to JEDEC standards at 667 1.8/1.9V so your timing will default higher anyway. Be a waste of money.

the only thing you could really do would just be to get more memory and a video card.
