Stop downloanding in Internet Explorer

Hi,
I want to stop downloand files from the Internet through IE 6/7. is there any registry setting to do that job ???
can anyone help me ????????????????:confused:
 
I want to use internet explorer as my normal web browsing but i want to prevent downloading files from the web sites like software and other update files. is it possible ???
 
Does IE 7 Auto Download Files with out acception by the user????

I am sure it doesn't, dont know much about IE6 cant remember much about it lol
 
dont worry, it will auto ask if you want to download files, but, raise your security settings, i think you go, Tool - propertys- security or somethin like that off memory
