Stop Error?

Hey guys, my new Sony computer has on three occassions restarted itself and gave me a message when it started back up that says: Windows has recovered from a serious error. When I send the error message to Microsoft, it says a device driver has caused Windows to do a "stop error." which forces the computer to restart itself. Now, the only thing I have installed on this computer that is not factory is my Linksys wireless card.

Does anyone know how this error occurs, or what I can do to stop it. Thanks.

For a while I was having the same problem. It kept saying that I have to upgrade to SP2 to fix the problem, but I didnt, and it kept happening. Then, when I got Adobe Premiere Pro, I had to upgrade to SP2, and since then I haven't had any stop errors at all.

BTW, I'm talking about XP. So basically what I'm saying is to make sure you have all the service packs installed.
