I didn't know where else to place this. This was the most relevant category.
In the past couple of months, I've been getting the occasional stop error from atikmday.sys. I've looked up solutions, and it's either one of two things;
1. the problem is unresolved
or
2. the provided solution messes up your system (using a an atikmdag file different from the current driver.)
Other people have contacted AMD support, and there was no response or resolution of the problem.
I haven't gotten a chance to write down the log of the stop errors. but it says the access of atikmdag is the issue.
I'm on the latest driver from AMD, but I'm not sure if I want to revert back to a previous one. These stop errors didn't happen on the old driver however.
So I'm not sure what to do to stop the BSoD's. Any advice would be appreciated.
My specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (SP 1)
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 290x (4GB DRR5)
Processor: Intel Core i7 (4770, 3.40GHz)
(if you need any additional information, ask and I will reply)
