Well that would be the hard drive. If you need more storage you could add another hard drive to your system. As for whats the limit, I dont really think there is a 'limit'. for normal use 1 terabyte would probably be more than you would ever know what to do with.

I dont think so. It's more of how many sata connections there are on the mobo and how much power you have.

Nevermind! Just did some research and apparently xp only recognizes 2tb but I dont know about vista.
