Storing Music?

Hi,

I'm going to be reformatting my computer soon and I currently have around 1600 songs on my iTunes that I'm trying to figure out how to save as I might be reformatting my computer soon. Is there anyway to store this many songs? I first tried emailing but the limit was 8 songs per email, putting them on CD's would take much to long...I'm lost at what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Compress them to MP3 Files and put them on a DVD, or you can get an External Hard drive and transfer them.
