Strange boot issues with Asus P8P67

Yesterday I installed a new PSU (Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050) and SSD (Samsung 830) into my system that I originally built around a year ago. I did a fresh install of Windows and all that good stuff, but for some reason right after I power the computer on, the PSU will shut down for like 2 seconds, then reboot and all of the POST state LED's on the motherboard (Asus P8P67 Evo) will flash red for around 1 second apiece, then boot to Windows where everything runs flawlessly. I've never had either of these things happen before with my old PSU (PC Power and Cooling 750) and boot drive (old crappy WD) and it bothers me that they are now even though everything is running fine. This is my first SSD install though, so I'm thinking I need to fix something in my bios? I can't really see it being the PSU. Idk. Any ideas?
 
I had this issue with my P8Z68-V. Is anything in your system overclocked? CPU, RAM, GPU etc? If so, remove the overclocks and see if it's any better. Removing and then lowering the overclocks worked for me.

Also make sure the case is not shorting out on anything. Is the I/O shield installed correctly? Are all the motherboard brass standoffs installed?
 
I agree, this seems to be an overclocking issue. Remove the overclock and it should return to normal.
 
Well, I don't have anything overclocked, but I did have the TPU (which allows "fast, yet stable clock speeds") switch on my motherboard to on just as it was before I switched PSUs and put in the SSD. I switched it off, which allowed to computer to boot without shutting down for a second, but all the red lights still flash briefly until Windows actually starts to boot.
 
Yeah the red lights flash for a bit on my board too before anything POSTs usually, it's pretty normal for ASUS boards. My P7P55D-E did it too. So long as it's not turning on, dying, then coming back alive, it should be fine.

That's comforting then. Everything seems to be working totally fine from what I can tell. I've had it running for around 12 hours now downloading various things and no hiccups yet. I was just afraid the new PSU was having issues or something in terms of not putting out the proper voltages or something of the sort. Hopefully nothing fails in the coming days or weeks D:
