Strange "CPU Usage"

When on the internet I frequently get a pop up "High Memory Usage by Internet Explorer". Going to Task Manager the CPU is 99% idle.Of course I'm not on the internet at this time.
Any suggestions?

Excuse me, your right, It's "High Memory Usage"
My error, I stated in the post it was high CPU usage.

That sounds kinda shifty to me. I would run a scan with Malwarebytes anti-malware:

I ran a Malwarebytes full scan, 1 infcetion: "Trojen Droper". When the pop up appears I went to Task Manager, the iexplorer was using 75,580K, this dosent seem like excessive storage usage to me.

Does the message come from Norton?

The mesage comes from Norton.

Make sure Internet Explorer is CLOSED.
Open Task Manager and see, if you have any iexplore.exe processes running.

You are infected, please go the security section of the forum, read the sticky and create a new thread with Malwarebytes and HiJackThis logs (make sure Malwarebytes is fully updated)

The trojan is probably the problem. With either Norton or Malwarebytes you should be able to remove the trojan, IIRC.

Dude, I've had SO many problems with Internet Explorer. Do you like, or have you tried, Google Chrome or Mozilla? I personally like Chrome better than IE.
