Strange font being used...

Hi, A lot of the time some of the text on-screen is a random font - usually when writing emails but also at other times too like when editing pages in wikipedia etc. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?
 
What email program do you use?
What internet browser do you use?
What version of Windows do you have and what language is it in?

In terms of the emails, are you sure that it's not just a matter of selecting whether the email is to be written in "html style text" or "plain text"?
 
Windows XP English
Firefox
Online Email. In libero.com sometimes yahoo.com
Don't know if it happens in anything else besides the browser cos don't really type in anything else.
It also changes font sometimes by random.
 
Hm, nothing comes to mind specifically. You could try looking at your firefox font settings (Tool // options // content tab // font section at the bottom - also the advanced tab for it.

Check and see if this also happens if you use internet explorer.
Is it a regular thing that happens and is it always on the same websites that it happens?

I didn't quite understand that. What question does the "ya" refer to? And do you mean that you figured out how to solve your problem or is the problem that the entry for "monospace" font seems to randomly select a font each time?
 
ya means yeah, I checked firefox font settings (Tool // options // content tab // font section at the bottom - also the advanced tab for it and that the problem is the entry for "monospace" font seems to randomly select a font each time.
I can see where the problem is but don't know how to fix it. That is, the list of fonts to choose from on the 'monospace' list is only the newly installed ones and don't know how to change it to the list of fonts that came with Windows.
