Strange IE problem

this has happened on a few sites now, what actually happens is that i'll be browsing on one site and then i'll click a link on that page that opens up another browser window.
The problem is that this new window will be missing ALL of the toolbars and scroll bar on the side. There isn't even a file, edit view etc bar at the very top.
I dont know whats causing it and it only happens on a few sites, and im not even sure if its a problem with the site or my software.
I'll probably end up trying it with Firefox soon to see if that helps but im not a big fan of firefox so i dont wanna have to keep using that.

Any suggestions would be welcome with regards to this problem

Welcome to the Firefox world. Ditch IE.

i already said i dont wanna ditch IE... Mozilla and IE are both comparable in my opinion and one has neither one is without its drawbacks

It's probably something to do with IE's security settings. If you have a flashkiller for example (prevents all flash animations), pages with flash may open with nothing. If you have disabled ActiveX completely, ditto. If you have messed around with IE's security settings, try setting back to medium, or at least run through the changes you've made.

I get this more with Firefox than IE due to slightly different settings.

i found a way around the problem... if i push F11 all of the stuff i need magically appears lol.... i dont understand why changing the view to full screen would do that but i does lol
