Strange Internet Connection Problems

Hi guys

Have a problem now that is occuring once a day, usually between 11pm-3am, I am not sure why it is during this time, but I have never noticed it at other times. I spend a lot of time playing World of Warcraft, browsing the internet, etc, usually until 4am or so. Of late I have been having troubles with my internet connection. I usually notice it as I am playing WoW, but it has happened at other times, such as I was just watching a movie. The internet remains 'active' for any programs that are currently using the internet, ie I can keep playing WoW, but if I try and open Internet Explorer, or ANY other program that uses the internet, I get nothing in terms of internet access. If I try to open up another WoW application, it too fails, along with if I cease playing WoW and then try to start it again. I have tried dis/enabling my network connection to no avail, as well as logging off / back in. A reset seems to fix the problem, but I would like a more permanent solution if possible.

OS - Vista Home Premium 32bit
CPU - Intel Core 2 E8500
RAM - 4GB
GPU - NVidia 9800GTX
NIC - Onboard LAN

Throw back any questions if you will about any ideas.

As in, if I reset my computer, the problem fixes itself. Modem is combined into a router, a Netgear DG834G. Turns out other computers can still use the internet whilst im having this problem, and I can't use IE to browse the details of the router whilst its happening because, again its network traffic, and no new network traffic can start once the problem begins. Makes it kinda hard to diagnose...

I would start from your computer and work out. upgrade your nic drivers, run a repair on the nic and see if that helps.... tahts a long shot but we might need to take baby steps... also next time your having this issue go to START RUN CMD and type ipconfig /all and paste what you got there.
