I dont know but this seems strange to me unless I am just an uber noob when it comes to computers, which is a good possibility
. I changed my 512 sticks around because I read somewhere that it can help with a counter-strike half life engine memory read error and it seems like it has worked. The strange this is that I found an old 256 stick sitting around and I decided to throw it in also along with the 2 512 since I have 4 slots and I booted up again after that and to my surprise once I went into system under the computer info it only read 512 MB of ram as opposed to 1250 or even 1Gig. I took the 256 out and it returned to the normal 1gig. Also, I noticed that the 256 is the same make and model and MHz frequency and everything also. I wonder why this has happened.
I TAKE THAT BACK IT DIDNT HELP WITH COUNTER_STRIKE GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr
