I just change my power supply,it is quiet.but when I open my computer,it is very noisey, than about two minutes later,it is quiet...can you explain this strange phenomena?I am sure the noise was made by my power supply fans...

I think the PSU fan may be thermally controlled. It goes on high power when it is hot and slows down when it is cool.

Ahmmm...

Hmmm..what do you mean when you open the computer? Well anyway, some PSUs utilise thermal sensors to control the RPMs of the fans. As a result hey may spin fast and when not needed resort to slower speeds. I know that one of my fans that is TC does just that.

JAN :D

It may be at full speed right when you turn on your computer. Then the heat sensors kick in. And it gets faster with hotter tempuratues and slower with colder temperatures.
