Strange Problem with Antialiasing

When I turn on AA in some games like Quake 4 or KOTOR 2, whether it is forced by my gfx. card control panel or in the in-game menu, when I start the game I will get this weird thing where checkerboard patterns flash across my screen over the game. I have no idea why, but when I turn off AA this problem goes away. What could be wrong!?!?!?!?

Thanks Praetor, I forgot to post again, but I found the issue. The omega drivers i downloaded were really screwing with the game and making it do that. I uninstalled them and went back to Catalyst control and it works fine now... I wonder what was wrong with the other drivers...

Hehe I remember nVidia drivers (beta mind you) having issues like that back in the day :P Im surprised those kinds of things sneak through (i can see for games here and there but for AA as a general thin? thats pretty broad)

Really though, whenever I turned on AA with those drivers a bunch of my games (Doom 3, Quake 4, COD2, KOTOR 2, Painkiller) it gave me those weird checkerboard things. I think im going to write an email to the guy who makes those drivers telling him about it.

Well if its an older revision, thats probably hardly needed but if not, for sure :) Curious: what WAS the rev for the driver?

I've gotten the checkerbox pattern in CSS when i turn AA on 6x, and filtering is set to trilinear, but when i put it on AF 16X, it runs fine.
