hey .. I've got this strange problem ..
firstly I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate.
and I've Samsung DVD RW ..
ok let's see the problem .. I've installed Alcohol 120% the trail version and forgot about it untill it's over :o (the trail time)
easly I removed Alcohol from my pc ..
after I reboot my pc I didn't find the dvd driver .. after many fixing attempts .. I went to device manager and see that windows doesn't have driver for it :confused:
and have this on the device status :
{
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
}

please give me some help ..

You know the CD that came w/ ut DVD DRIVe, good, save it. Under device manages just uninstall the driver, just right click/uninstall. Then right click the computer icon and scan for hardware changes, windows should recognize the drive. If it doesnt just pop in the CD.

I've tried this .. I mean I've tried to uninstall the driver and search for updates from the net .. but it also failed..:(
about the CD !! my windows doesn't read my DVD:(.. so it won't read any cd I insert ..
I believe that the problem is made by Alcohol 120%..:mad:
because I'm using Linux Fedora and my DVD works fine

thanx for help..:)
anymore suggestions please? :confused:

Yeah, Alcohol 120% makes virtual drives and all, so I bet it screwed something up there. Try using System Restore and go back before you erased it, or reloading it and disabling virtual drives.
