Stuck or Dead Pixel

I got a 24" Acer monitor not too long ago and discovered a stuck or dead pixel. My first question is...What is the difference between a stuck and dead pixel. The second one...How do I fix this problem? Thanks guys and gals.

A Stuck pixel is one pixel stuck on a colour (red, blue or green) and will show up on a black or white background. It can be fixed by turning off the monitor and applying pressure to the dead pixel area, and turning the screen back on. (may have to do this multiple times)

A Dead pixel is black, it will show up on a white background but not a black one, you can't fix them without replacing the actual LCD screen. My screen has a dead pixel in the bottom left area of the screen
